Triton’s TT Admix concrete waterproofing system has been certified by the BBA. Below ground waterproofing is a competitive and demanding market and the company is confident that BBA certification will help it secure a higher proportion of valuable new build and renovation contracts.
In fact, according to Business Manager, Kevin Dodds, the company is anticipating a 100% increase in business for the system.
TT Admix is a concrete admixture manufactured by Triton, and designed to provide Type B structural waterproofing as defined in BS 8102 (2009). It is added to concrete at the time of batching where its active chemicals react with fresh concrete to generate insoluble crystalline growths that seal the concrete against water penetration and protect it against harsh environmental conditions.
The BBA certification means that Triton can now offer architects and other specifying organisations, such as the NHBC and local authorities, a complete range of BBA certified waterproofing systems suitable for use in all types of projects from domestic basements to multi-level, below ground car parks.
Kevin Dodds said ” Specifiers see a BBA certified product as the industry standard. Although we have other third party certifications for our products, the BBA is all-encompassing and reassures the market not only about the product’s performance, but also about our stability as a company and the quality of the technical support we provide.”
Triton is also a RIBA approved CPD provider and offers a seminar covering the specification of Type B waterproofing systems.
