The British Board of Agrément (BBA), Ulster University and Invest NI are holding a breakfast briefing on the opportunities available to growing companies eager to expand their business through delivering construction excellence.

The briefing will provide valuable ‘face time’ with key members of the BBA, Ulster University and Invest NI staff.  With opportunity to discuss routes to market for new products and potential help available for research and development.

Professor Philip Griffiths Head of the School of the Built Environment, Ulster University
Claire Curtis-Thomas, CEO, BBA

Professor Philip Griffiths, BSc, MSc, PhD, CEng, MEI, specialises in energy storage including phase change materials and is a UK member of IEA Task 42 24 and EU COST networks on thermal energy storage.  He is also an expert on building thermal comfort and Passive Building development.

Claire Curtis-Thomas, PhD(Hon), CEng FIMechE FIET, a qualified Mechanical Engineer with an MBA from Aston University and an honorary PhD in Technology.  During her time in parliament, Claire championed a number of issues on behalf of the construction industry and sat on three select committees: Trade & Industry, Home Affairs and Science & Technology. She also chaired All-Party Parliamentary Committees on Construction and Utility related subjects and founded the Construction & Development Partnership, a charity dedicated to bringing schools and education to the children of Sierra Leone.
