The 'BBA inspected' client managed schemes
are an excellent way for organisations to oversee the quality of
installation of their products and demonstrate they meet the
regulatory requirements. The BBA has over 40 years experience in
providing independent and unbiased information on products and
their installation. Examples of our client managed schemes
- FENSA stands for the Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme.
Following Government encouragement, FENSA has been set up by the
Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) and other industry bodies in
response to Building Regulations for double glazing companies in
England and Wales
- For several years the BBA has been involved in the Ultra
Installer Scheme, providing independent inspections as part of the
application and membership process to maintain the high standards
of this approval Scheme. The BBA also provide administrative
support for the Scheme with a nominated Administrator, ensuring
continuity for the installers with a single point of contact.
NewBuild - The UK New Build Window
Scheme was devised to recognise and promote the activities of New
Build Window installation companies who can demonstrate high levels
of service throughout the sales, delivery and installation process.
The assessment is carried out by a BBA assessor, expert in the
Scheme, assessing New Build Window installations in relation to the
Installer Charter, standard of installation, building regulations
and on site compliance and how you ensure quality at all stages of
the supply and installation process.
The BBA also approves installers under the requirements of PAS
2030: 2012 which is mandatory for installers wishing to carry out
work under the Green Deal. For more information click here.
