PI Berlin is hosting an afternoon in London with discussions and presentations explaining how to deal with quality issues in PV plants. The event is ideal for asset managers, investors and financiers of solar projects.
Attendees will gain vital technical knowledge and be able to discuss technical issues that directly affect the commercial viability and profitability of long term assets. There will also be the opportunity of valuable ‘face time’ with key members of PI Berlin and the BBA.

Jyoti Roy, Bluefield – Technical Issues affecting Performance
Jyoti Roy has experience with the execution of over 500MW of utility scale ground-mounted and commercial rooftop PV projects. His main areas of expertise are contractual agreements, system engineering, strategic procurement, construction management, technical advisory and asset management. Jyoti is currently Associate Director of Engineering and Project Operations at Bluefield LLP. Before joining Bluefield he was the Head of Engineering at Juwi, an international project developer and EPC contractor. Jyoti is a Committee Member of IEC TC 82/WG 3 as well as an independent expert in the IET Technical Committee on PV.
Steven Xuereb – Systematic Evaluation of PV Plants – PQ Rating
Steven Xuereb is a renewable energy professional who has fifteen years of experience both in the wind and solar industries. Currently he leads the PV Systems business unit at PI Berlin, focusing on delivering independent engineering services for large scale solar plants. Before joining PI Berlin, Steven spent eight years procuring and developing solar and wind projects in North America, Chile and South Africa.
Dr. Juliane Berghold – Operational Quality Issues and the Warranty Claim Process
Dr. Juliane Berghold has more than 15 years of experience in PV technology. Her experience includes R&D, consultancy and management in PV research and the PV industry, including project acquisition and project management for customer projects and funded projects. She is currently leading the business unit PV Module Technology and R&D Services. The focus of her team is on the analysis and mitigation of field-related issues of PV modules and expert opinions for manufacturers, banks and investors.
