Downloading PDF FilesTo ensure that you do not have problems viewing or downloading Portable Document Format (PDF) files that we've posted to this Web site, please follow the steps below which provide guidance on how to successfully access these documents. Please note that a small number of these documents are scanned from the originals. If you are not satisfied with the quality, please send an e mail to webmaster@bba.star.co.uk Step 1: Determine if you have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4.0 or higher Some information on our Web Site is saved in PDF, or Portable Document Format, and you must have the Adobe Acrobat Viewer in order to view these files. You can determine if you have Adobe Acrobat Viewer by searching your files/folders for "Adobe Acrobat Reader". If you don't have this application, use this link to download the Acrobat Reader. Step 2: To view PDF files in your Browser: Click on the PDF file you wish to open. If your computer is set up to automatically open up PDF files in your browser, you will be able to view the file in a few seconds. If this process takes longer than a minute, you should click STOP at the top of your browser window and go to Step 3. Step 3: To save/download PDF files to your hard drive: Use your mouse to "right click" on the 'Download Certificate' logo within the certificate details. You should see a menu with a "Save to..." or "Save Target As" option. Choose this option, and save the file to your computer. (Be sure to note the directory to which you save all your downloads...you'll need to go there again to open them). ATTENTION MAC USERS: To download files: Hold down the clicker on your mouse until a list of menu options appears. From this menu option, choose the "Save to..." option, and save the file to your computer (either a disk or your harddrive). Step 4: To print PDF files you have opened in your browser (by following Step 2): Click on the Abobe Screens print icon (at the top of the main browser window) to print out the entire file. DO NOT select the PRINT option from your Internet browser, because this action may only print out one page of the file. Step 5: If you are still having trouble downloading PDF files from the BBA Web Site, your browser options may be set not to allow for the downloading of PDF files due to system security issues. You may need to contact your systems administrator to find out if you can re-set your browser options to accommodate PDF files. You may also obtain PDF files by sending an E-mail to publications@bba.star.co.uk. webmaster@bba.star.co.uk. |
