Product Approval
Increase your product credibility
Gaining product approval from a recognised third party
certification body such as the BBA is a vital ingredient for
product manufacturers to gain acceptance with specifiers, building
control, local authorities and industry insurers. The BBA
specialises in the approval of construction products and is
renowned for the robustness of its schemes.
Agrément Certificates
This is the BBA's premium
award recognised by key stakeholders in the construction
industry as a robust, impartial and rigorous assessment of a
product's 'fitness for purpose'.
HAPAS Certificates
The Highway
Authorities Product Approval Scheme (HAPAS) was originated to
provide a nationally recognised approval scheme for new products
and systems developed especially for highway use. The approval
process is just as robust, impartial and rigorous as its Agrément
equivalent.
CE marking
The Construction Products
Regulation (CPR) states that any construction product which is
covered by a harmonised European Standard
(hEN) needs to display CE marking. The BBA can help you achieve
this in a variety of ways.
Microgeneration Certification Scheme
(MCS)
This is a third party scheme developed by Government to
independently assess manufacturers and installers of small scale
renewable technologies to documented standards. The BBA is a
notified body under this scheme offering MCS certification for products covered by
the scheme.
European Technical Approvals
The BBA is authorised by Government to offer European Technical
Approvals (ETAs) and to represent the UK in the European Organisation for Technical
Approvals (EOTA). ETAs are designed
for products which are not covered by a harmonised European
Standard.
General product certification
The BBA can assess products to a variety of different BS EN
standards and European Technical Approval Guidelines (ETAGs). For
