Become an approved installer, certified to install BBA certified products.

Manufacturers, specifiers and in fact the entire industry, expect exceptional delivery standards; whether you’re creating the product, or installing it. The BBA’s Installer schemes help you to demonstrate not only your competency but your expertise, experience and service integrity.

Building credibility as an installer or a company is vital for long-term growth and success; ensuring that your good reputation speaks for you, when you can’t.

By becoming a BBA Approved Installer, you benefit from the wealth of expertise and knowledge the BBA has built over many years as well as the following:

  • Opportunities for Business Growth – Demonstrating competency and ability through the Installer Scheme itself, providing a competitive advantage over those not on the scheme.

  • Professional development – Building on the knowledge and capabilities within the BBA to further the skills and competencies of each individual installer.

  • Installer Search Portal – A place within the BBA installer search portal helps to spotlight your business and certification to the developer, housing association or homeowners.

  • Technical Support – Daily contact for general questions covering installation and product application, supported by more formal technical reporting if required as well as access to product manufacturers and/or associations i.e. ATMA, EOTA etc.

For Manufacturers

Knowing that your products are being installed in the correct manor in which they are intended to be, or in some instances must be, is an important (if not the most important) part of the manufacture to installation supply chain.

For BBA certified products, the BBA Approved Installer Scheme can act just like an internal approved installer program with the added benefit of the approval coming from an impartial organisation – taking the hassle out of administering such a scheme as well as providing confidence in its legitimacy.

For Architects, Specifiers, Contractors and Facilities Managers

You may be working on a project and you need a BBA Approved Installer to help you get the job done. We’ve made sure that our updated records give you immediate access to installers who are BBA Approved and have been inspected and audited according to the level of quality and workmanship that you expect.

We are currently updating our Installer Search function. In the interim, if you have any queries or seek further information, you are more than welcome to contact our Client Engagement team at clientservices@bbacerts.co.uk. We apologise for any inconvenience.

How we assess you to become a BBA Approved Installer

To become a BBA Approved Installer we take the following steps:

  • We visit your business premises to audit your administration processes and check certain data i.e. PLI.

  • After the office audit, we will undertake a work-in-progress (on-site) visit to inspect a sample of the installations that your company carries out, for each measure that you select for approval. These inspections are a chance for you to demonstrate that the work you do complies with our scheme requirements and, if applicable, PAS 2030.

Note: In line with industry requirements, we must ensure that your work meets high-quality service standards.

  • Once this is complete we can issue you with your BBA Approved Installer Certification

Our knowledgeable and supportive Inspection staff will be available each step of the way, answering any questions you may have to help you achieve your business objectives.
