In our first webinar of 2024, we were delighted to have welcomed Hayley Lorimer, Director of Membership at the Federation of Master Builders. The FMB is the largest trade association in the construction industry, with a membership of SME builders from both the new build and renovation sectors. Hayley joined Dean Polley, Operations Manager – South at the BBA as we  looked at the UK construction market from an SME installer point of view.

Topics covered in the discussion

  • What is the FMB and what is its role in the industry?
  • How does the FMB support its members?
  • How does the FMB contribute to quality and safety across the construction industry
  • How are builders adapting to the requirements of the Building Safety Act and the additional responsibility it carries for them?
  • How can the industry improve collaboration to drive quality?
