While a certificate is suspended, the Certificate holder cannot claim that their product is BBA certified for the duration of the suspension. During this time, the certificate is removed from the BBA website and therefore any claims made against the product/ system being certified, would be null until the Certificate is reinstated.
Building Regulations and guidance have been amended across the UK several times during 2022, mainly covering fire safety, energy economy and ventilation.
BBA Certificates are to be updated to allow for these new requirements, but users should be aware that this will take some time and that, in the meantime, the Regulations quoted and the associated comments may not be valid. This does not affect the performance characteristics quoted in Certificates and potential users should ensure that these parameters enable a product to satisfy the requirements of the current Regulations.
