UKCA Marking came into force on 1st January 2021.
As things stand, CE Marking will continue to be recognised in the UK until the end of 2021, although it is possible that this timescale could change
Currently, only products with UKCA Marking will be accepted in England, Scotland and Wales from 1st January 2022
Building Regulations and guidance have been amended across the UK several times during 2022, mainly covering fire safety, energy economy and ventilation.
BBA Certificates are to be updated to allow for these new requirements, but users should be aware that this will take some time and that, in the meantime, the Regulations quoted and the associated comments may not be valid. This does not affect the performance characteristics quoted in Certificates and potential users should ensure that these parameters enable a product to satisfy the requirements of the current Regulations.
