Working and growing together as a team is something we all feel strongly about, at the BBA. And working together for the good of those we serve and work alongside in our community, even more so.

We run regular social activities that bring our teams together, and this year, we’ve decided to change things up a bit. We are thrilled to have chosen our three nominated charities that we will support in the year ahead and base a lot of our team-building activities around.

The three charities we have selected to support were chosen by our staff who shared common themes in their nominations.

Our support aims to be a mixture of physical volunteering, fund-raising and awareness through social activity.

Introducing our nominated charities for 2022:

CRASH:

CRASH is the construction industry’s charity that helps homelessness and hospice organisations with their construction projects – creating places that care for people when they’re at their most vulnerable. CRASH unites the industry and channels the expertise and products of companies, to transform hostels and day centres for homeless people across the UK. CRASH also helps children and adults who need end of life care in a hospice, by creating caring environments where families can spend precious time together.

What they do:

  • Source pro bono or discounted professional expertise including, architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors
  • Introduce product specifiers to ensure correct products are selected and source free or discounted products

They have been delivering charitable support to the Construction Community since 1956.

What they do:

  • Emergency financial aid to construction families in crisis
  • Advice on occupational health and mental wellbeing

Where rewilding is flourishing across Britain, reconnecting us with the natural world, sustaining communities and tackling the species extinction crisis and climate emergency is what Rewilding Britain is all about.

What they do:

  • Run numerous projects across the UK to develop spaces for rewilding, working in partnership with councils etc to turn unused areas back into natural habitats
