The BBA’s Impact Testing Rig is a big hit
Commissioned in February, the BBA’s bespoke designed high energy soft and hard body impact frame has successfully completed a number of tests.
Designed to safely deliver high energy impacts on a range of cladding and wall systems to the requirements of ETAG 034, EN 596 and ISO 7892, the frame allows the BBA to test large soft body impacts up to 500 Joules and hard body impacts in excess of 25 Joules, reflecting the higher energy levels specified for modern building envelope systems.
