The writing is on the wall. A mere 7% of people entering the professional world would actively select construction as their first choice of industry to work in. We risk losing critical industry skill and knowledge due to an ageing demographic, but yet the imperative to digitise and embrace new technology, new methods, new innovation, is banging on the door. The changes the industry makes today, will impact generations to come, but it’s the next generation of business leaders, decision­makers, skilled workers and innovative thinkers that will be responsible for transitioning an industry towards growth over the next few decades.
