BBA supports the new National Insulation Industry Awards

The National Insulation Industry Awards have been introduced to recognise the achievements of organisations, and individuals, who encourage innovation and work hard to maintain high standards in an industry worth an estimated £890m to the UK economy. The black tie event will take place in Birmingham on 27 June with awards across a variety of categories including:

– Installer of the Year
– Push for zero carbon initiative award
– Manufacturer of the year
– Outstanding Marketing Initiative
– Product of the year
– Large Project of the year
– Small Project of the year
– Outstanding contribution to the insulation industry

The BBA is proud to announce that it is the sponsor of the “Outstanding Contribution to the Insulation Industry” award. Additionally, CEO Claire Curtis-Thomas is delighted to be on the judging panel alongside BRUFMA President Kevin Bohea, Rob Pannell of the NHBC, Gabby Mallett of the National Energy Foundation, Mike Easdon of InBuild Solutions Ltd and Darren Evans of Darren Evans Assessments Ltd.

Lord Deben, Chairman of the Committee on Climate Change, has also recently joined the judging panel and will be addressing the event. He commented:

“I’m very pleased to be joining the National Insulation Industry Awards judging panel. Heating and hot water account for around 20% of the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions. How we go about insulating our homes and offices is absolutely crucial to reducing those emissions. I look forward to seeing some truly innovative insulation solutions to help drive up UK energy efficiency.”

The Awards are now open and are free to enter www.insulationawards.co.uk/entry.

The BBA works with exceptional organisations and urges certificate holders and approved installers to enter. The closing date is 20 March with the shortlist being announced on 3 April.
