You would have recently seen the news that after more than 50 years, the BBA’s head office has moved home. And while this move is significant to us as a business, representing a critical point of new direction, the move also heralded a new opportunity to get even closer to our clients, partners, suppliers and people.

Background:

For over 50 years, the BBA has occupied office space on BRE’s Watford Campus, where we have seen our teams grow, our service offerings expand, and memories collected that have followed many BBA people throughout their careers. But it was time for new change, and the end of June signalled that change, when the BBA’s Head Office moved to new premises at Croxley Park, Watford, opening up 3 locations for the business to continue to serve the industry as we have been doing since our inception.

BBA HQ:

British Board of Agrément
Building 3
Hatters Lane
Croxley Park
Watford

BBA Test:

British Board of Agrément
BRE Innovation Campus
Building 5.1
Bucknalls Lane
Watford, Herts
WD25 9BA

BBA Liverpool:

British Board of Agrément
Avenue HQ, 2nd Floor
No. 4 St Pauls Square
Liverpool
L3 9SJ

The Celebration

It was important for us to involve our entire network; both those that work in the business, as well as those who work on the business, and those we serve, to join us in this new start. Because of that, we opened up the invitation to all clients, partners, and suppliers to pop in and meet with us and see the new office. Thank you to all of you who joined us, and took the time to share your views on ways that we can serve you better, and explore new opportunities to give back to the industry as a whole.

It was also a time for our team to get together in person. And for those who couldn’t make the trip down to the South, we shared the celebration virtually.

As we look forward, we are excited about opening up even more opportunities to use this new space to keep us at the heart of industry developments, and run our own events, in our new home, to learn more about what we can do to drive safety, enable innovation and help our landscape mitigate risk.

And who did the honours?

We asked two BBA VIPs to officially cut the ribbon for us.  Luke Adams, Principal Certification Scientist, and Jon Denyer, Principal Scientist, who are both 2 of our longest serving colleagues, each having worked at the BBA for over 30 years.
