UKCA Marking. Where are we now and what do I need to know as a company that workings with the resin, flooring, screending and surface preparation industry

In partnership with the FeRFA, the BBA hosted it’s second exclusive workshop to cover the topic of Brexit and its implications for CE and UKCA Marking. This time for all members of the FeRFA, with a focus on surface preparation.

It will also provide members with the opportunity to ask any questions they may have on the topic, which will in turn help the BBA help other clients. Any appropriate questions and answers will be posted on the dedicated UKCA Marking page.

There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the use of UKCA Marking and what this will mean for specific parts of the construction industry and the industry as a whole. Questions also remain around UKNI and CE Marking and how to maintain these marks.

The will all depend not just on the final agreements between the UK and the EU at the end of the transition period, but also on the country of origin, and the market products are sold in.

Despite the uncertainty, it is important that we understand what can be done now to prepare for the future, and to save time and money.

As one example is placing goods on the market in Northern Ireland and the relevant markings that will be required from 2022 and the conformity bodies that can issue these?
