When it comes to reassurance (especially within industries where risk factors can be high) it is the establishment of trust, through long term relationship building and proof of concept, that will determine how much confidence clients have in your products and services.

For the BBA it goes beyond just a simple offering.

It is about helping the wider construction and manufacturing industries throughout the entire supply chain and developing long term partnerships while imparting vital information, knowledge and guidance for the benefit of all stakeholders. This level of responsibility shouldn’t be, and isn’t, taken lightly, with accuracy and consistency of information integral to what we do. From Agrément Certifications to product testing and auditing, each service remains vigilant and reassuringly impartial which allows the BBA to support its clients, and subsequently allows its clients to rely on the BBA for correct and up to date information and guidance.

The trust built between both parties is integral and by always keeping on top of changes and updates to regulations the BBA takes the role of thought leader within the construction industry on many different topics.

But this has only been achieved by focusing on the truth, understanding changes to legislation and disseminating this back to the construction industry.

If this doesn’t happen, there is the possibility that misquotes, misrepresentation and a breakdown in communication can lead to poor and inaccurate outcomes.

And misrepresentation isn’t anything new. Take, for example, some of your favourite movie quotes. In fact, we highlight just a few of the most famous movie quotes you may be familiar with, and how, over time, they have become misrepresented. What’s made it worse is that many of those misrepresentations have stuck; creating their own sense of new (inaccurate) truth.

Snow White

“Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?”

There is no ‘mirror, mirror’; it was actually a ‘magic mirror’, which makes much more sense, especially if you’ve ever tried to get your own mirror, mirror to talk to you! The real quote is: “Magic mirror, on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?”.

Casablanca

“Play it again, Sam”

If you play the piano you’ve probably been asked to play it again like Sam, but the actual quote (amongst a longer dialogue) is: “Play it once, Sam, for old time’s sake, play ‘As Time Goes By.’”

Star Wars

“May the force be with you.”

Although Han Solo does actually say this line during the prequal, Obi-Wan Kenobi (who most attribute the quote to) actually says: “Remember, the Force will be with you always.”

Tarzan

“Me, Tarzan. You, Jane.”

These words were in fact never spoken, it was a dialogue between Tarzan and Jane that has been mixed into this singular statement.

Disseminating the right, correct information at all time is not just important; it’s critical. It’s the difference between compliance and non-compliance. It’s the difference between risk and safety.  The BBA is proud to rigorously champion within the construction space and to help provide clarity, to deliver a landscape that is built on quality, safety and most importantly, accuracy.
